1. My grandpa's pickled mango. When my grandpa still had mango trees when I was young, he would have jars full of pickled mango every time I went over. I could never resist the luscious tangy flavor of the mango and although I knew the mango had to sit in the jar for at least one more day, I would always sneak some out and eat it.
2. My brother, 8/28/09. Since my brother is the oldest cousin out of the whole side of my dad's family and my grandpa past away, I decided to interview him. He had the most experience with the pickled mango besides my grandpa.
3. -What are the ingredients? Are there any secret ingredients?
-Can you define any ingredients that is from a different culture?
-Do you like to make this? If so, why?
-When was the most memorable time you ate this?
-Is this a tradition? How did it start? What started it?
-What are some personal stories you had with pickled mango?
-What are your opinions on the recipe? Would you change anything? If so, why?

Writing Experiences and Goals
Writing is not my best subject, but it still plays a big part in my life. I have been writing since I first started school and I know that I've always had troubles with it. My mom even sent my brother and I to an extra writing class outside of school called Na'au, to help us write better. Although I may not remember or use the skills I have learned at Na'au, I believe I somehow became a better writer. I also used to have a diary that I tried to write in everyday. Having my own diary was wonderful; I got to express my feelings and just write anything I wanted to. Unfortunately, I didn't keep a diary too long because I never had time to write in it or I always forgot to. Besides going to Na'au or having my own diary, I got most of my other writing experiences through school. We always had to write essays for social studies and stories or poems for english. In 8th grade, we had to write an essay if we wanted to go on a trip to Washington D.C. Only forty people of all the 8th graders were chosen to go, and surprisingly, I was one of the lucky forty that was selected to go. I hope to create more memorable writing experiences throughout high school.
There are a few goals that I'm working at to achieve in writing. I want to add more description to my writing. I also want to enlarge my vocabulary so I won't you the same words over and over again. I would also want to reach my goal to writing less cliches. I have loads of goals that I want to accomplish for writing, but these are the main ones I would like to achieve this year.
